Erdal Kayhan graduated with a degree in Psychology from
the Middle East
Technical University (METU) in 1993 and moved to Vienna
in 1994 to
pursue a Master's degree in Psychology. After
graduating from the
University of Vienna, he completed his training as a
Health and Clinical
Psychologist at the same university between 2004 and
2008, and was listed
in the Austrian Ministry of Health's registry of
Health and Clinical
Psychologists.
During his studies and after graduation, Erdal Kayhan
participated in social
projects supported by both the Austrian government and
various aid
organizations. He specifically worked with Turkish
citizens in Vienna, as
well as with migrants, workers, and asylum seekers
living in Austria,
providing psychological support and counseling services
in Turkish,
German, and English.
In 2007, Erdal Kayhan founded the GELİŞİM Health and
Psychological
Counseling Center in Vienna to address the psychological
counseling needs
of Turkish citizens in Austria.
Psychological issues that were once regarded with
hesitation are now
understood as a natural consequence of the challenges of
daily life, which
differently affect the sense of pressure we all feel.
More and more people are
seeking psychological counseling services without
hesitation.
Psychological problems arising in daily life or work,
difficulties in
communication due to foreign languages, or additional
communication
issues arising from cultural differences can make it
harder for Turkish-
speaking citizens to seek psychological help.
For all matters related to mental health, you can
confidently and without
hesitation turn to Health and Clinical Psychologist
Erdal Kayhan and the
GELİŞİM Health and Psychological Counseling Center.
